The Forest Temple is Link's first dungeon as an adult hero, and it has been designed to test his brain as well as his sword. The halls are infested by ghosts and full of illusions. Link must keep his wits about him to meet the Sage of the forest.

Small Keys

When Link first enters the Temple, he finds himself standing in an inner courtyard. If he climbs the trees in this area, he'll be rewarded with a small key.

Song of Time

One door in the main hall is blocked by a massive blue stone. If Link plays the Song of Time, the stone will disappear and eventually lead to another small key.

Big Blocks

To progress in a particular room, Link must push two large blocks into their correct positions. The arrows on the ground serve as clues, and experimentation will eventually lead to success.

Archery

Once Link earns the Bow, he can begin to hunt for Poes. Shoot the pictures of Poes when the ghosts are visible, and they will materialize for a battle..

Frozen Switch

When Link finds an eye switch protected by a barrier of ice, he must find a way to melt it. Shooting an arrow through the flame will melt the switch and activate a twisted corridor.

The Descent

Once three of the Poe sisters have been eliminated, Link must battle the final Poe in the main hall of the Forest Temple. The Poe will try to fool Link with visual tricks, but the real Poe can be identified because it is the only one that spins.
