The architecture of the Forest Temple is beautiful, but its inhabitants are horrible. Link will encounter new enemies in his quest for the Forest Medallion, and these malicious creatures are more aggressive than anything he fought as a child. The Hero of Time will be tested in the moss-covered halls of the Temple.

Wolfos

Two howling Wolfos guard the entrance to the inner halls of the Forest Temple. Their disturbing cries are a distraction, and they are experts at blocking blows from the Master Sword.

Skulltula

Like Link, the Skulltulas have had time to grow. These massive arachnids are protected by a hard shell which has evolved to resemble a human skull. When a Skulltula is found on a wall, it will attack aggressively if Link is spied by one of its eleven glowing eyes.

Blue Bubble

Driven by evil, Blue Bubbles are mindless skulls propelled by bat wings. Blue fire is their main defense, which can be extinguished with Link's shield.

Green Bubbles

Green Bubbles are almost identical to Blue Bubbles, but they are surrounded by a dangerous green flame. They usually appear in groups of two, and are not as mobile as their blue cousins.

Stalfos

Perhaps the most horrendous inhabitants of the Forest Temple, Stalfos knights are skeleton warriors armed with large swords and strong shields. Their defensive skills are excellent, making it extremely difficult to successfully launch an attack.

Wallmaster

Wallmasters are devious creatures who rely on the element of surprise. They crawl along the ceiling, waiting to drop down on their prey. Since they are nothing more than large hands, they are perfectly designed to carry their victims away.

Deku Baba

This monstrous plant is carnivorous, and will aggressively lunge at anything that walks by its rooted position. Massive leafy jaws are supported by a thin stalk, which can stretch to surprising lengths when the creature attacks. Smaller and less dangerous Deku Babas are also growing within the Forest Temple.

Octorok

There is just enough water in the Forest Temple for these aquatic beasts to survive. They pop their heads out of the water, and spit huge rocks at anything that threatens to invade their territory.

Poe

Although Poes are most common in Hyrule Field, the Forest Temple is home to four Poe sisters: Joelle, Beth, Amy and Meg. They are a crafty clan, and use taunts and trickery to frustrate Link. Link must destroy the four sisters to gain access to the Forest Medallion.
